How to Choose the Right Study Abroad Destination

Choosing where to study is one of the biggest decisions in your journey. These five questions will help you narrow down your options.
1. What can you afford?
Tuition varies enormously between countries and between public and private universities. Approximate annual Bachelor's tuition across some of our destinations:

Remember to add living costs and any financial proof required for your visa, such as Germany's blocked account or Spain's IPREM-based requirement.
2. Which language will you study in?
Many countries offer English-taught programs, especially at Master's level. Some — like Switzerland at Bachelor's level — more commonly teach in national languages.
3. When can you start?
Most European universities have a main autumn intake (September/October), with limited spring intakes. South Korea has spring (March) and fall (September) intakes; New Zealand's main intakes are February–March and July.
4. Can you get a scholarship?
Options include the Chinese Government Scholarship, Hungary's Stipendium Hungaricum and substantial tuition reductions in South Korea. Strong academic results and language scores improve your chances.
5. What happens after graduation?
Consider post-study work opportunities and long-term career pathways, which depend on each country's rules and your eligibility.
