01ListeningAbout 30 minutes — four recordings with a range of question types.
02Reading60 minutes — three passages; Academic and General Training use different texts.

04Speaking11–14 minutes — a face-to-face conversation with an examiner in three parts.

IELTS FAQs

Academic is generally required for university admission. General Training is typically used for work and some migration routes. We confirm which version your university or visa route requires before you book.

Most institutions accept IELTS results for two years from the test date, but always check the requirement of your university or visa authority.

The official IELTS test is booked with an official IELTS test centre (British Council or IDP). We prepare you for it, run full-length mock tests under exam conditions and help you register for a test date.
